I remember this being the first instance on any mystical ninja game i played and staring in joyful wonder watching a giant Mech form with full theme song in a video game out of no where.

The battle that's after this sequence gave me anxiety as a child. But then again..... I never knew about the hook you could throw from your weapon until the very last boss fight in the game years later🥲

Nestopia is amazing, it’s an early emulator (latest version on 2008) but has ultimate emulation accuracy than other many emulator. One little detail that only Nestopia did: Non-linear channel mixer, but not very blurry (while two 75% pulses playing) as other emulator also use non-linear channel mixer. In fact, this is what real NES’s mixer effect.

The sound design at 0:15 is so well done. Made it my favorite summon as a kid.
